I suppose suggessting you could try to come with an original line was hateful. :whack:
Could be worse. I could have suggested 2 websites. :D
since I am the writer, Ill write a line for you. email me at firecoins@aol.com. Tell me what you do in your street act. and a little about yourself.
I like using theses faces.

Harry:
I wouldn't say that Brian's reply was hating. He was explaining why most people won't give away hat lines.
They are very difficult to develop in character.
BTW, we missed you at Monday's meeting.
Scott had to close the show, himself!

Re: reply to Hat Lines
I guess "out of line" is a subjective concept.
Harry -- suppose I walked up to you, out of nowhere and said, "Give me your money." I don't have to be psychic to guess what your response would be.
Yet that's basically what you're asking when you ask people to "give you hat lines." It's not "hating" when one points out that the product of long, hard effort, often times devised to merge with one's character in order to make a show seamless and entertaining, probably won't be given away upon demand.
I've spent any number of years on my act, and traveled all around seeing street performers work in their venues, as well as buying books like those by David Groves and DVDs by Jim Cellini, in order to make my act better and work on the streets.
And getting all defensive and saying "don't be a hater" as if this justifies your actions and puts the burden on me, well, this speaks for itself.
Nothing succeeds like a little thought and hard work. If it were easy, everyone would do it. Just a little (free) food for thought.
