Delben rope gimmick help

Can anyone please tell me or direct me to the correct way of installing a Delben rope gimmick to my rope?
I have a gimmick which is rather long with a
tiny hole at each end of the gimmick.

Your post would be greatly appreciated.

I hope I can help. I used to spend (20 years ago)a lot of spare time with Ben Stone at his shop in Springfield, Mo...the "Ben" in the name Delben. He was very proud of discovering those gimmicks.

As I remember it... he would use white glue to put them in the end, where a bit of the rope core had been removed.

Also I think the holes in the gimmick were to use thread and sew 'em in for strength. :D
