I was interested in finding Steve Beam,s version of the Chinese Compass trick. I have done a few searches and have turned up nothing.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Peace,
Nola

Is this the verion with "up" and "dn" instead of the arrows? If so, this was published in the first issue of Steve's The Trapdoor magazine. He also used to sell the prop as a seperate item. I am not sure if these are still available.

He also revisited the trick in the last issue of Trapdoor.

I believe that Barry's Magic Shop (Barry Taylor) in Wheaton, MD (suburb of Washington DC) carries the trick.

Thank You for your input. I am out of state right now and am having trouble with my email so I can't contact Steve.

I will be in D.C. this weekend so I'll try to stop by Barry's. I checked the web site but the effect isn't listed (at least not as the magic compass.) I'll call in the morning.

I think I'll also try and find some copies of the Trapdoor.

Thanks again guys. If you think of anything else let me know.
Peace,

Good luck finding this. I searched for a couple years before finding one. Barry's magic will not have one, as I checked years ago. Steve doesn't have them either. Your best best is to wait for one on ebay.
