Source of color change?

Postby Jacky Kahan » May 4th, 2003, 9:59 am

Hello,

I've been shown this color change about 4 years ago, at the macmillan convention in London.

The person who showed me, didn't know the source do you?

I've included a link where you can see it...

thanks for the help.

I haven't seen that color change before, but it looks like a combination of the Houdini Color Change from Erdnase (he doesn't use that name) in the first part and then Martin Gardner's Wink Color Change (from the Hierophant) in the second part. The Houdini change is the one where the top card is pushed forward and the heel of the right hand pushes back the exposed part of the second card. In Gardner's Wink change, a card in a hinged position is covered by a one hand fan of cards and then moved into place as the fan is removed. In the version here it's under cover of the right hand itself instead of a fan.

Anyway, nice change! And you probably know all of the above. It took me a couple of views to figure out what was going on. I hope I didn't get it wrong. :-)
