Riffle Pass

Postby Guest » December 9th, 2001, 5:14 am

I am new to the forum. IN fact, I am almost new to magic as I have had close to a 30 year layoff. Am rediscovering the passion I had as a youth, etc.

The internet is a great tool for exposing and teaching and I have enjoyed the various video sites out there.

My question is: What publication, video, etc. best teaches the Riffle Pass. From what I have seen so far I need to learn this sleight.

Thanks for putting up with a newbie.

Richard Kaufman has a video for sale called "On the Pass" which not only covers the Riffle Pass, but also the Classic, Jiggle, Half Jiggle, Herrmann, etc.

Jay Sankey's "Sankeytized Vol 2" and Jim Swain's videos were the most help to me as I tried to learn the Riffle Pass.

Is Richard Kaufman's "On the Pass" video also available on DVD? If not, can anyone recommend any DVDs that teach card sleights, particularly the Riffle and other Passes.

happytrickster, Meir Yedid, who now owns and markets my tape "On the Pass," is going to put it out on DVD soon. But, it will probably be a region free NTSC DVD, not PAL. Do you have an all system DVD player?

Thanks Richard. Yes, i think my DVD player should be able to cope with that.

"More Card Manipulations", weighing in at less than $5, has a good description of the riffle pass.
