Ed Marlo's Linking Ring routine.

Postby Bill Wheeler » November 14th, 2005, 9:09 am

The actual routine I have a question on is written up in "Arcade Dreams". I practiced the routine with rings in hand yesterday, and I can't figure out why you would need the oversized ring. It seems like the routine would work fine with 3 rings of the same size.

Did I miss something in the instructions?

Too long ago to remember: perhaps Rock will respond.

As written up, Bill, you are right. You don't need the ovesized ring. However. I am tempted to believe that there is more to the routine, but it wasn't written up.

Speaking of which, has the Buddy Dietrich routine ever been published? I remember (I think in Book of John) that Mendoza mentioned a reason why he wasn't writing it up, and instead inserted his own 3 ring routine.

Harold--

Thanks for the follow up reference. I forgot that "The Book of John" has a 3 ring routine; and both the Marlo routine and Mendoza routine are supposed to be related to the Dietrich routine (whether or not it is in print). I'll have to compare the two.
