If any tv producers are out there, I'm ready for my first special. This weekend I will lie on my couch for two days and watch all 5 Star Wars movies, eating only junk food.

Re: A new story on David Blaine
I tried the link, but the page has been supplanted by other stories. Can anybody enlighten us here on the forum with details of what he's planning? Thanks.

Re: A new story on David Blaine
Hi Steve. I googled "David Blaine" news and got 113,000 sites. None of the first page's sites had anything about his new stunt. Rather than run around looking for internet crumbs, I'd love to take advantage of this forum and have somebody post it here. Just one sentence is fine. Is he going to eat an airplane? Shove 400 needles into his nose? Burn off a toe? If you know, please post it!
Thanks. :)
Thanks. :)

Re: A new story on David Blaine
Google News has a number of hits for this stunt.
http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=686740
Basically, he'll be doing an "easy and fun high-wire act" in NYC on Halloween. The story also mentions that he has a deal with ABC for 4 new specials, the first one to air in conjunction with, naturally, the Halloween stunt.
Also, I don't see why Blaine should "stick with just magic". Why can't a person have multiple interests and do multiple things? Sure, it may not interest you...but then, who says you have to watch?

Re: A new story on David Blaine
Why can't he let it go? Because the general public, which is largely made up of people who aren't magicians/mentalists etc have expressed an interest in him and his performances.
I agree with Jim, why can't YOU let it go?
David.

I don't like the stunts. I loved the first 2 specials he did. I certainly hopes he goes back to the magic oriented stuff. That really put magic on the map.

Ruben:
Google does the job 99% of the time, so if you learn the basics, your life will be much easier!
Type "David Blaine" [in quotes] and click Enter.
At the top of the page, there are a number of Google "services". Click on "News".
In this case, any of the first 6 links will tell you about the new stunt.
The Genii Forum URL-inserter function won't work properly with the following address, so you'll have to cut and paste:
http://news.google.com/news?q=%22david% ... a=N&tab=wn
if you want to see the results I got.
Best wishes,
Steve H

Thanks, Steve. I'm very aware of Google, but the hint about the services buttons on top made it much easier - Thank you very much!
