On page 49 of "Small But Deadly", Paul Hallas refers to a forthcoming book featuring the magic of Sam Schwartz. The book is apparently due for release in early 2003.
Does anyone know who is publishing this book?

Re: Sam Schwartz
It's my understanding that the book is being written by Allen Zingg and I'm not sure he and Sam have a publisher lined up as yet. If I learn more I'll post it here.

Re: Sam Schwartz
I saw Sam at the SAM convention in New York this past July and he said that Karl Fulves was the publisher.

This is a book I am really looking forward to getting. Sam is a great thinker in magic, not to mention one of the nicest guys in the business as well! His packet effect "backflips" is in my opinion the best packet trick out there (especially with Dingles touch).

Re: Sam Schwartz
I just spoke to Allen Zingg who wrote the book with Sam and he tells me the publisher is Magico.
It is near completion and will be about 350 pages in length.

Re: Sam Schwartz
I stand corrected: Sam did tell me that it was Magico, not Fulves. I was standing there with Sam in the dealer's room as he was expecting the books to arrive momentarily. That was in July!

Re: Sam Schwartz
Richard, from what I understand they're waiting for the last batch of illustrations and then it should be ready to go shortly after. I'm looking forward to it.I think Sam is one of the most undersung creators in magic.

Delighted to discover that Sam is still with us; ifitis the same, in NYC he was a hot light with his name all over the place and many wonderful effects. Had not heard about him lately so, this is good; this is very, very good.
