When did he change his number? The last one I had for his customer service line was 1-800-GO2-HELL.

Jeff:

Busby owes me money. Even though I have repeatedly asked for the dough, he has refused to even acknowledge my request.

At one time, he was a respected member of the magic community, but he's managed to alienate most reasonable people.

He lives in Wallace, Idaho, so you should be able to find a phone number for him there.

That explains it: Jeff Pierce was looking in the phonebook for "Busby, Jeff" when he should have been looking for "Bastard, Thieving."

Just Money, Bob? Count yourself lucky - he owes some people a lot more than that! Books, cups, APOLOGIES, etc. Just ask Melba...

Ok, here's the deal. I just need some info from his manuscript "Into the 4th Dimension and Beyond." If someones got it and can email, date, publisher etc. That's all I need.

Thanks

Jeff Pierce

When does that thing go into the public domain anyway?

And now
A little mentalism for your reading pleasure.

"Y'know?
For some strange reason...
Don't ask me to pinpoint it...
Because the inclinations are still a bit vague.
But still...
I'm getting the vibes...
I'm getting the feeling...
That you guys don't like Busby.

Ta! Da!"

(cue immediate THUNDEROUS Applause)

Fade to black.

Yeah, and this means, of course, that we have veered off of Jeffs topic.

My bad.

Can anyone help Jeff with his original question?

Jeff, I'm going to hit the old magazines and look for some ads. The info garnered from that might be the closest we can get.

If it had the copyright notice inside, it enters public domain January 1, 2069. If it was published without notice, it's already entered public domain. (Like that Atlanta whacko's shell manuscript.)

In my opinion the first phase of Busby's routine (on which "Card Warp" is based) is a "Model T" -- a curiosity of historical interest and worthy of credit, obviously, but far, far surpassed in every way by what followed it. Walton's trick was wonderful, and Howie Schwartzman's "Star Warp" was a phenomenal handling. But for my money, Michael Close's "Dr. Strangetrick" in Workers #1 is the one to do.

And least we forget, Bob McAllister's "Greenwarp" from the most special Richard's Almanac.
