Carnival Illusions

Postby Todd Robbins » July 28th, 2003, 10:20 pm

Admittedly, this is shameless self promotion, but if you enjoyed the excerpt from Al Stencills wonderful book on the sideshows, and would like to see a number of them performed live, then I have a suggestion for you.

My show, Carnival Knowledge, just started previews off-Broadway in NY. In addition to all the working acts I do (such as glass eating, sword swallowing, fire eating, bottle walk, and the Human Blockhead)you will also see me do the Electric Chair act, the Blade Box (I got this from Jay Marshall and it was once used at Riverview Park in Chicago), Olga Hess-the Headless Woman, the Snake Girl (similar to Spidora) and a full blown Girl to Gorilla.

It's live onstage, Thursday through Sunday. For more information go to www.CarnivalKnowledge.com.

By the way, did I mention we also feature a Salsa dancing dwarf?

Sorry, Steve, the dwarf is a guy. But he does look good in a dress, so let's talk about this.
