Best way to levitate a small object?

Postby Christopher1979 » February 23rd, 2017, 9:06 pm

So, the last time i bought something to levitate a small object was probably about 20 years ago and that was a pen reel. I remember it being very difficult to use as on the first attempt the end of the invisible thread wound itself back into the pen. What are the best devices on the market now? I would be grateful for your input!

Steve Fearson has some genius ideas for use with invisible thread. I was never keen on using invisible thread until I saw what Steve has done with the principle:

I also have a soft spot for one of Lubor Fiedler's ideas. He makes use of a totally new principle to help add an extra convincer to his levitation effect:

I found that if you buy a set of black sneaker laces from Footlocker that you get a lifetime supply of invisible threads. Both the outer and inner strands unravel into countless strands of the real deal Invisible Thread.
