Hello
I know there is a HUGE difference between the magic superstars that we worship, and a professional that makes their living performing. I was wondering who are some of the lesser known professionals.

Re: The Professional
I would guess the list would be in the THOUSANDS... good luck hunting.
Stay tooned.
Re: The Professional
Im sorry was not very clear. By professional I meant PROFESSIONALS that have a great impact on magicians and laymen but choose to remain out of the magic spotlight. I think that takes it out of the thousands. How about a list of Top Ten. Thank you!

Re: The Professional
The two notions are almost exclusive. Usually it's not till they are dead and the scavengers, dumpster divers and collectors start to crow about their acquisitions does news of their contributions make it into magicdom.Originally posted by jriley:

Consider J. N. Hofzinser, J. E. Robert-Houdin and Del Ray as examples.
I guess you could put Robert Harbin, Walter (Zaney) Blaney and Al Goshman on your list. Here are a few more for your list: T. Nelson Downs, Richard Cardini, Max Maven, David Roth, Nate Leipzig, Blaultier DeKolta and Tommy Wonder.
This off the top of my head and in no particular order.

In fact, you must write BUATIER de KOLTA but his real name was Joseph BuatierOriginally posted by Brad Jeffers:

Re: The Professional
I was thinking about performers working under conditions that are less then perfect. Because this is where 98% of most professionals live.
I was thinking about this topic because how many of us have really seen a professional performer work for a lay audience under fire in the real world.
