Anyone know who bought this lot at auction in Australia, that appears to have included one of Malini's own egg bags? Curiously, the two eggs are wooden, not hollow.

Richard H.,
I know that everyone thinks hollow or blown eggs are the only way to go with a Malini bag. I am glad to see that Malini utilized "timber" eggs. I have been a fan of turned balsa wood eggs for the Malini style egg bag for years. They do not break, last for years, look real to the audience, and are perfect for the effect. Good for Malini for exhibiting wise choices in his props. Thanks for posting this.

I really should also comment on the bag material (cotton). Several years ago I bought a couple bolts of black crepe de chine for making up bags. Apparently Malini thought cotton was good enough for him. Interesting.
