Is that worse? Yes, I think it's worse being the magician and falling on your back in front of the whole world on a fancy TV contest. Poor guy.
Is that a difficult effect to perform?

I think it was all a joke... unless you have the gimmick, something like that (from what has been shown...) would never work...
