Is English Derek Lever's Native Language?

Postby Richard Kaufman » January 18th, 2013, 10:52 am

You wouldn't know it from this, posted in Alan Watson's e-zine today.

Writing about how registrations are "pouring in" for Blackpool, Lever writes: "Registrations are pouring in and applicants may experience a short delay in
processing as Arthur Casson is undated with Forms."

I've never known any human to be "undated," or "undated" with anything.

Someone told me at The Session that Derek took him to one side and said "even when I die, please promise me you'll never ever let Carl De Roma into my convention".

He also thinks that if you have a double opt in email list of people interested in the convention, it would be spamming to email them about it.

There comes a point when you just need to be made to step down...

Lots of things this could mean. Let's see ...

.... Arthur has the forms but hasn't decided on what date he'll process them?

... Arthur doesn't want us to know how old he is after being assigned the task of handling the forms?

... Quick! Take the forms away from him so the poor fellow can get a date! Those forms are probably scaring potential dates away.

But now that this error has been exposed, Arthur is clearly no longer inundated - he's outundated.
