Oil and water question
Is anyone familiar with the version of oil and water that uses red and blue backed cards? I think it uses 3 red and 3 black pipped cards, the backs of three are red and the backs of three are blue. Richard, Jon, or someone must know this version. Thanks.

Re: Oil and water question
David Regal has a version oil and water using red and blue backed cards. As cited elsehwere: "Regal's routine is called "Perfectly Oiled", and it appears on volume 2 of the PP&P series. The DVD cover says it originally appeared in Star Quality. "

Ok thanks. I first saw this handling as a kid in a magic set. It was on a pamphlet called 'the ten best card tricks' or something. That would be 36 years ago.

Racherbaumer's "Convincing Technicolor Oil and Water" from The Collected Almanac.
It uses four red and four blue cards.

Dear friend Denis,
Best version of Oil & water in conception, in my opinion is Pepe Carroll's routine written in 52 LOVERS book.
Sincerely,
F. Amlcar Riega i Bello.

Re: Oil and water question
Jose Caroll's Oil and Water in a Wine Glass is a good (vertical) routine but it's not an odd-backed oil and water, it has an "evaporated water" for the climax.

You can watch Allan Ackerman perform part of his Mixed-Up Blues routine on the trailer of his DVD Set: Las Vegas Card Expert. It is the first item performed at: http://www.previewmagic.com/ackerman-la ... xpert.html
I think that this premise can be made especially interesting due to the many different card backs being released these days which will allow you to customize the presentation to just about any theme.

The Technicolor Oil and Water that Racherbaumer published in Richard's Almanac is a great routine.

Thanks Richard. Im in New Orleans and have yet to happen in on Jon's magic circle. I suspect I may have luck coaxing him into a performance of the routine you mention- when I finally do show up...
