Dustin,

Im just seeing this post now, my apologies for not responding sooner. Thanks for your kind words of support of the S.A.M. Compeers page on Facebook. There are dozens upon dozens of videos not to mention hundreds of photos and posts regarding magic history and other fun stuff on the group page.

Im glad you enjoyed the video of Ted Annemann. There are also videos featuring Chung Ling Soo, Arnold DeBiere Channing Pollack, Dai Vernon, Slydini, Ascanio, Rene Lavand, Albert Goshman, Pepe Carroll and many others. Some of my other favorites include the old TV commercials featuring magic by some of greatest names in magic such as David Copperfield, Doug Henning and John Scarne. I think the FB Page is a wonderfully fun resource for anyone truly interested in our art.

Thanks again for your post and I hope to see many other Genii Forum members coming by for a visit.

Best,

Eric DeCamps

To give Genii Forum members a better idea of the S.A.M. Compeers Facebook Group Pages content, I thought I would post direct links to a sampling of videos that are found on the group page.

In another thread, Richard Kaufman mentioned that he never saw Jose Pepe Carroll perform. Here is a short link to a short bio and video of Pepe performing with his mentor Juan Tamariz that I originally posted on February 28, 2012.

Here is a link of the legend Arturo de Ascanio performing his incredible version of the nudist deck. This was originally posted on January 30, 2012.

Whether or not you speak or understand spanish, I am sure you will enjoy seeing both of these masters work.

JOHN SCARNE SCHAEFFER BEER TV COMMERCIAL

Here is what I consider a real treasure. One of the legends of our community, John Scarne, in his classic TV Commercial for Schaeffer Beer. The TV commercial aired in the early 1970s. Mr. Scarne was about 70 years old when he filmed this but you never would have thought it by his smooth work with the pasteboards. This is a rare find and I hope you all appreciate this look back into magic history as much as I do.

Enjoy.
