Let me guess, the cops will get tricked so badly that the movie's ending will have a cliche twist to it leaving the magicians walk off with a feel-good smirk. No thanks."

I haven't heard anything yet with regard to reactions. I've seen a few trailers and IMO it looks like it will be a successful action movie but not a very good representation of magic or magicians. Dont think I'll like it very much, but you never know - I can be a sucker for a good action movie, realism notwithstanding.

H & R Magic Books provided all of the magic books for the movie set. I'm interested to see what titles, if any, made it into the actual movie.

According to IMDB David Kwong and Jonathan Levitt were the magic consultants

They used Racherbaumer's library as props for the filming.

Well great. I wonder what they did with all the books they ordered? They bought quite a few. Originally they had asked to borrow a couple thousand books. That would have put me out of business! Glad they found Jon's.

I had to sign a release as one of the books that I published was apparently used as set decor. That was more than a year ago and I wondered what had become of the project.

You never know what's going to happen when you lend stuff to a film. The scenes may never get shot, or shot in such a way that the stuff isn't seen, or it is seen and then edited out, or they just kill that whole part of the film. As William Goldman pointed out a long time ago, in Hollywood: "Nobody knows anything."
