Amazing goodies! Many unique items. Gotta win the lottery though...(of course, I guess I have to play it to win it, right?).

Thanks for posting - who knew that "Roy Bensons
Salt Pour Gimmicks were sometimes made from metal film canisters." ?

I doubt if too many people even remember metal 35 mm film cans.

As a photographer, I would love to have Charles photos of Blackstone in the old Opera house.

Richard, I remember the metal 35mm cans, even published an effect using them many years ago.

I thought those looking at the catalog or auction site for Charles Reynolds things might be interested in the mummy case.

I very much miss Charles, one of the greatest minds of magic in the last century. I occasionally speak with Regina, his widow. She tells me that Charles was in England (might have been with the Henning show, but don't know, Charles was a consultant with many of the top TV personalities years ago).

Anyway, while visiting the old Davenport's shop, Charles ventured into the basement, saw the mummy case (illusion door) there, and had to have it. So, the case was shipped back to the States, and appeared in publicity photos of Charles for a few years.

Cheers,

Greg Edmonds

Indeed: the problem is to convince the wife that the mummy case will be a nice piece of furniture in our post-modern house. So far, I've tried to explain her she may use it as a wardrobe for her ever-increasing collection of couture, but she still doesn't seem convinced... any suggestion?

Marco, It could cause friendly notoriety and be good P.R. for you as a performer.
Strangers, on hearing that Charles Reynolds was a magician living in Greenwich Village, would be told that there was some guy who lived there and actually had a Mummy in his hall!

I counted $203,440.00 as the final take for this auction. The prices appear to be steady for market value. The Robert Harbin book sold for $1,200.00. The Mind and Magic of David Berglas sold for $475.00. The Miracle Factory edition of The Annals of Conjuring went for $175.00. That's not a bad deal for this book--but then there is that pesky 20% auction fee.

I think I know--I think we know--who purchased The Great Leon's Mummy Sarcophagus for $22,000.00. Viva Las Vegas!

The $2,500+ for the Tannen signs was a nice number. I should have unscrewed them when the boys were with the strippers next door.

Oh well.
