Ive been a fan of horror films ever since my widdle eyes could focus on a moving image. Ive never seen a movie like Cabin in the Woods. Written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard and directed by Goddard, this film is a terrific, unique reimagining of the horror genre.
On the surface, the story involves five friends, a remote cabin and monsters. But the telling of that tale is merely a subplot. The film bears mentioning here because of the exquisite, secret, magical machinations that occur in service of a larger, more ominous story.
Its smart, funny, scary and one of my favorite horror films! Its available on Netflix. Check it out!

+1
It's been something of an open secret since 2009.
Fun film. :)
Enjoy.

The plot twists have been kept pretty quiet. If you're going to watch it, do not read the description on the DVD or blu-ray box.
I enjoyed it, but not as much as many others. The last act cameo was one of the best parts.

It was a fun film. I enjoyed the details a lot.
But I liked "Tucker and Dale vs Evil" more.

This is actually a very smart film. Throwing virgins into volcanoes just doesn't do it for me anymore. This one takes the cake :)
