Will the android app allow downloading of issues for offline viewing?

I'm assuming it will work the way the iPad app does, but I'm not really sure at the moment.

I would love to know the figures for the android usage when you make the app. Afaik, iPad has about 70% market share.

I have three tablets, iPad, iPad2 and the Motorola ZYBoard. The iPads and the Motorola are entirely different types of user experiences. The iPad is a thing unique, while the Android-based Motorola feels like a PC (something familiar, which I like). It's a matter of personal preference, but most people have only tried an iPad at this point (with 83 million now sold). The market share is destined to shift over the coming years, and I want to be able to service those customers who chose Android and Kindle.

Oh no doubt Apple will start to lose market share simply by people that want cheap and developing an app for that platform would seem sensible.

Although why does the Kindle Fire need a different app to the Android? They are both Android, aren't they?

The company though which we do this sets up a separate app for the Kindle Fire. Not sure why.

Possibly because it's a 7" tablet instead of a 10"? Also, I've heard that some things are built into the Fire that are not vanilla Google.

Ian is correct in that the Kindle, while based on Android, is not an Android experience.... different user interface, different built-in functionality/apps, Kindles can't purchase apps from Google Play.
