Can you identify this effect?

Hi. I'm desperately trying to identify this effect that I read about a few weeks ago. I've completely forgotten the name and author. I'm sure it was in a book/DVD containing other effects.
Basically, your spectator calls a restaraunt several miles away and asks for the name of the employee. you then leave the housr/venue and 1 minute later, the spec calls your mobile phone. You answer but pass the phone to someone else who turns out to be the employee they spoke to a minute before. They even describe you!
Can anyone tell me what this is???
