footage of magicians

THIS has a number of shows that would be of interest to magicians -- Doug Henning, Blacke's Magic, Luxor Gali Gali, Orson Welles, Bixby's The Magician, Edgar Bergen, etc.

But is this company legit? I mean, do they have the rights to these shows?

Highly unlikely given the following in the Terms and Conditions:
All films sold on this site are to the best of my knowledge in the public domain or not available in any commercial form. If a film is not in the public domain, then it will only be traded.

And elsewhere he describes the videos including vintage commercials.
So, sounds like someone cashing in on his private video collection.

There are hundreds (if not more) sites like this on the internet. It's what's known as the "gray market." There are huge amounts of old TV shows and movies that have either fallen into public domain, or no one actually knows who owns the rights, or the rights owners don't care. So, lots of enterprising folks sell this stuff. If the owner (if there is one) asks them to stop, they do.
