Robert Albo Ultimate Okito

Postby acefrehley92407 » June 20th, 2012, 11:53 am

Up For Sale is Albo's Ultimate Okito. It is in mint condition, book has never been read and dvds have never been played. I have seen these sell at auction for $500-$700. I am just asking for $350 or best offer. Payment by money order only. If you want it fast, then overnight payment and I will cover next day shipping.

I have not received this item yet. Paypal was sent on June 22. You made and electronic shipping label. with the USPS on the 23rd.

I have tried calling you and get some other name on the answering machine. I have tried to email directly without luck. I have posted messages here.

If I do not hear from you within 24 hours, I will file charges with Paypal on this transaction.

Guys stear clear of this guy! Phone numbers are to another name and he does not reply to emails.
He printed out a shipping label with the USPS but never shipped the item.
I used Paypal and Discover so I should be safe.
I will start the dispute process today.

A google search shows the address is to a comic shop. Look at www.fatogre.com

Call the store and see if they ever heard of the guy.

If they haven't, you know it was a scam.

Notably, he apparently joined the forum the same day he posted the ad.

A search on his email address shows a twitter account in which he claims to be "Andrew of H & R Magic Books" and engages with Derren Brown and Mark Elsdon via twitter. Andrew Scott was an employee of H & R about three years ago until we found that he had sold numerous books from our inventory to a local used bookstore at pennies on the dollar without having purchased them from us. More unpurchased books from our inventory were then discovered in his warehouse. Possibly he has a copy of Ultimate Albo, but it would likely be a copy he got from our inventory without paying us for it. Please keep us posted on any contact you have with him.

John,
Sounds good but I have wait until I get this paypal mess straightened out before sending more money out. The electric company still likes to get paid on time.

BTW- Have stepped the process with Paypal to a claim after I was unable to reach him in any fashion. AVOID this seller!

Just letting you all know that I finally got my money for this transaction from Paypal. It does work!. I also use my Discover card with the Paypal for another level of protection.

Just avoid this guy as a seller. In fact, I would like to see him banned from the Forum. We don't need these type of folks around us.

Richard - Glad all worked out ok.

Just an FYI, I have found that the credit card dispute works better than the PayPal dispute process in my experience. I think you can try PayPal dispute process and then go to your credit card company next if they won't get your money back. Just make sure you work within the dispute deadlines. Always make sure you PayPal is funded by a credit card (as Richard did) for dealing with people you don't know.

Yes, I just had another problem with a guy on ebay/paypal. I always fund it through a credit card. You just have to do one dispute and then the second. If you start a paypal dispute and then start a credit card dispute, it will cancel the paypal dispute.
