Squeezebox or Spiker or Origami?

Postby Nimrud » July 5th, 2012, 6:06 pm

Dear All!

This is a brilliant illusion combination.
Many illusions in one illusion.

Watch the first illusion:

Looks more like a large couch than a wedge base.

I'm sorry. I didn't care for it.

The main reason is that the illusion was presented with no interesting plot/context whatsoever.

(That, and the couch thing)

If half a dozen women came out of that box at the end I wouldn't have been surprised. You could fit a horse into that base!

Dear All!

I haven't got answer to my question yet.
Squeezebox or Spiker or Origami?
I think neither!
This is a totally new and original illusion,
but I hope you see this too.

Dear Brad!

Squeezebox EFFECT or Spiker EFFECT or Origami EFFECT?
I see that you are embarrassed at the sight of a new illusion.

It is a badly made knock off of Andre Kole's compression illusion with the pointless addition of a spiker kicker which serves only to prolong an already exruciatingly long throw back of a performance.

I AM embarrased.

But only because tripe like this is being foisted upon paying audiences as being magic

Dear Brad!

Yes, we are talking the same,
but the "compression" illusion is the Squeezebox.
in 70% Squeezebox, 15% Origami, 15% Spiker.
But it is still new illusion.

No

If I put a scoop of ice cream on a pizza, it is not a new dish. It is a scoop of ice cream on a pizza.

You are fond of asking questions. Will you answer one?

What are you trying to accomplish with your posts?

Reveal how little you know about good magic? Try to sell crappy, poorly designed tricks to people who are not interested?

You do the editing for many of the videos, yes? It is clear from them that you have a very specific and narrow band of 'taste'. That taste is dated, over wraught, and reflects the style which is responsible for magic being considered by most of the theatrical world as a third class endeavor.

We get it.

You have a friend.

He builds terrible illusions.

You love your friend and are blind to how awful they are.

That's sweet.

But if you come here to ask the forum questions, you must be willing to accept the answers received.

Your friends illusions suck. Combining tricks is one of the two most shallow forms of creativity - the other being the 'theme act'

Sure, sometimes you can plop one type of food ontop of another and create something - if not new - at least palatable.

But that requires a sense of taste.

We' ve seen the videos, the choreography, the costuming.

They all lack the same thing --- taste

I think I speak for everyone when I tell you that we are not interested in your friends illusions or your love-blind opinions of them

Please stop bothering us.

Dear Brad!

I just simply wanted to know
that how are you reacting to a super
but not a Mr. Saman Zerin illusion.
I got the answer long ago.

If you think that illusion was 'super' then we know all we need to know.

Have you met alex stone? From what I've heard, I think you two would get along splendidly.

The video has been up for three years and has only six "likes"

That should say something.

Dear All!

You don't have to like every illusion
but all your replys are pure malice.
This can be demonstrated easily.

Twister illusion and the Double Twister illusion.
Designed and presented by Greg Frewin.
The Double Twister entered into the Magic World as a new illusion.
Double Twister is made up of two illusions:
The Twister illusion and from the Disembodied illusion.
So guys, how about that?!
I see that the double standard is working in the Magic too.

I have no malice toward you or the performer. I simply didn't like it. Too much "over proving" and over the top theatrics on stage. Yes, I know others do it too. I don't really care for them either, but they didn't come here asking for our opinions.

Nimrud - you don't get it.

The double twister is pizza with extra cheese. The abortion you have put before us is pizza with an old shoe on top.

You don't understand magic, what an 'effect' Is, theater or illusions. That's ok. A lot of people don't.

Go read 'our magic'.

See you in a month.

Dear All!

Dave V. I understand that you don't like the illusion without hatred.

Brad you slowly can open a pizzeria. :)
Maybe you don't understand the magic
when you say to a good illusion that is bad!

But if you understand magic then you are not correct!

The Double Twister is said to be new illusion by professional magicians too.
Look into this theme if you do not belive me.

Oh it is, you caught him
ages ago. No doubt. The broken
English is just trying too hard. Add in the
weird carriage returns,
and it's obvious.

But, he is
quite funny.
