Dear All!

The Sumer is a Saman Zerin illusion!
The arrogance of the attack
verifies that the Sumer is a good illusion.

Dear mrgoat!

Is it ethical that you falsified my original posts?
And after you reply it.
Is this compatible with the Genii's ethical codex?
I hope not.

I think this was a self irony.

Dear mrgoat!

Is this called Magician's Ethic here in the Genii forum?

Nimrud, do you consider it ethical to put onto the market an effect which fails to advance the art while touting it is a a quality performance piece?

Dear Brad!

There is another topic on the Genii forum.
The theme of this topic is the old version of the Sumer.
How surprising but there was some constructive criticism.
There were feedbacks from elsewhere too.
That's why the Sumer Reloaded was born.
Thanks to Saman Zerin.

Whatever you say the Sumer Reloaded is a brilliant illusion.
I don't have to protect the Sumer illusion,
the Sumer illusion protect itself.

It's no problem if you don't like the illusion.
Nothing is problem, you are like this, that's all.

You use the word 'brilliant' like it's an objective term. I'll play. Prove to me that it is brilliant. Show me evidence.

Dear All!

If the Sumer illusion really would be like
as you want to describe it,
than no one had bought it from various points of the world,
and would not be praised by a number of famous magicians.

Terrible tv shows have viewers. Bad restaurants have diners. And crappy tricks sell to idiot magicians every day.

If a blind man tells you a painting is lovely, does that mean it is? If a virgin tells you that the sex was good, does that mean it was?

Goat has asked for names of these people who like it. You say famous magicians love it.

Who?

Here is another illusion from the same person. It begs the question: how different must something be before it's no longer a knock off and does it natter if all those differences make the trick WORSE.

IMHO the designer just does not "get it" and gives away the trick the moment he pulls up the red cloth box.

Nothing says 'I don't know crap about performing on stage than a man in a black outfit standing against a woman in a black outfit.'

So - how much money did your friend pay Jim Steinmeyer (whom you seem to respect) for turing his masterpiece into a pile of pig feces?

Also - can any of your friend's illusion be performed in a non-over dramatic, self important, tiresomely slow style, or do many (un named) 'famous' magicians love that too?

When did evil come to mean 'having taste along with an understanding of illusion principles and history'?

The comments I'm seeing on the YouTube pages are hardly those of 'love'. Does anyone, other than you and the creator, love either of these tricks? You say they do - but offer no evidence.

Two can play that

"several major magicians hate sumer's illusions'

See. My statement is just as true as yours.

Show me I'm wrong.

I have to agree with the majority opinion - I don't like it either.
I don't like it at all.
I agree with Brad and the others here, that this 'illusion' is bad magic.

Nimrud, while it may appear to you that those above come across harshly in their criticism, and admittedly there seems to be a bit of fun being had at your (and the product's) expense, you seem to be completely missing the great gift they are offering you:
If you are willing to see where they are right in their views, it will make you a better magician.

I already had problems with the the whole Brad and Mary-Louise thing. Now Dustin's involved.

This illusion will always have strong negative connotations for me.
