Genii & Houdini

Postby JohnCox » April 17th, 2012, 10:44 am

As we know, Houdini has graced the cover of Genii many times (18 by my count). I've gathered a complete collection of these issues, so in celebration of Genii's 75th, I thought I'd kick off a new series on my blog, "Genii & Houdini", in which I will take a look back at each of these issues inside and out.

First up is issue #2, October 1936.

Nothing?

Well here's another. Even if you're not into Houdini, it's cool to see these old covers and the old Genii logos, etc. This one also includes a nice quote from Bill Larsen Sr.

Thanks, John, I'm finding these interesting. There's an overwhelming smount of material in Genii that it's nice to have things pointed out!

Thanks Richard. I'm glad you're enjoying these. It's interesting to see just how much was first revealed in Genii. The 'King of Cards' poster for example.

So I've finished this series. 20 issues total. You can find links to all of them here (or just start at the beginning and click to the next issue):
