"Carson Entertainment Group (CEG), which owns the archive of the late-night
host's 30 years on "The Tonight Show," announced today that it has digitized
all 3,300 hours of existing footage from Carson's reign and created a
searchable online database for media professionals.
"While the library is only accessible to those who license clips for
professional purposes, CEG plans later this year to put out 50 full-format
shows on DVD and post a rotating group of 40 to 50 historic clips for
general consumption on JohnnyCarson.com."

Re: Johnny Carson archives
Does anyone know if Johnny Carson performing Cards to Pocket is available anywhere? It is referred to in one of Bill Malone's videos.

Re: Johnny Carson archives
There was a time when you could purchase copies of any Carson episode from the Carson Entertainment Group. They had a website where you could enter the name of anyone who had ever been a guest and it would give the airdates for each of their appearances. If I remember correctly, for $99 you would get two copies (vhs) of any one episode. I was interested in the two episodes on which Mike Skinner performed, but was not willing to pay $200. They no longer offer this service.

Given that Johnny Carson loved magic, what tricks did HE like to perform.

"the high point of his military career was performing a magic trick for United States Secretary of the Navy James V. Forrestal."
What trick?

On the 60 minutes profile, he did a stop trick for Mike Wallace, dealing cards until Wallace said stop (psychological force).ericafogal wrote:Given that Johnny Carson loved magic, what tricks did HE like to perform.

The Leamer biography mentions this, but doesn't specify the trick.
