I recently came across an Italian website with articles on magic history and other things, including an interesting one about DeLand:

It's been up for a few years.

You'll find more on DeLand if you can locate a copy of Karten Zum Zaubern, a book about playing cards that accompanied a museum exhibit in Germany decades ago.

Hopefully, later this year you'll get the whole shebang with my DeLand book!

I figured it would be already familiar at least to the Chief Genii, but you never know, and it might also whet some appetites for the forthcoming book (which I'm very much looking forward to).

I have "Karten zum Zaubern", which is fascinating and also includes some facsimiles of old German books of card tricks going back to the 17th century, in addition to the DeLand material.
