Hey.
My name is Neil I'm a (very) amateur aspiring magician who hails from Co. Mayo, I was wondering if anyone was close or someone knew someone who was close that wanted to get together for practice and support.
As far as I know the closest IBM ring is in cork and the closest SIM meeting is Dublin. I'm unable to get to these places due to lack of funds and a hectic home life (new arrival to the family) I would just like some magical friends who are close by with whom I can relate to and practice with and so I can bounce thoughts questions and ideas of someone like minded.

Are there any online places where more Irish magicians are likely to read your message? I would imagine that Brendan would know.

Meeting other magicians face to face is the best way to learn.

I agree with you but I'm not ready to face an audition to join SIM.
I would have thought this being the prominent forum on the subject and having an international readership would be a good place to start.

I shot you a PM on this. The scene out in the west of Ireland isn't all that large.

There is one guy I know of in Mayo and another in Sligo.

There is also a fairly active Facebook page for The Society of irish Magicians and friends. If you friend me on facebook I'll invite you.
