Did this look like anything else but cgi to anyone?

The notion of filming an audience watching one trick and substituting something that cannot be performed in real life, under those conditions: totally FREAKs my MIND.

Then this is really gonna freak your mind: There are people who film a guy walking toward and then out a door and the same guy walking out a completely different door in a different location and edit the shots together, even if the second shot was filmed months before the first. And sometimes they even rerecord the dialog and add sound effects. Movie magic. ;)

It's openly CGI. If you to the link Ebert gives for the explanation you'll see that it's a film school project. The little "card man" has a nice quality of character!

I know at least one magician who actually sent around this link asking if people knew how it was done. As I said, looked obviously cgi to me.
