In the theory section of Roberto Giobbis Card College Vol. 2 one will find several non-magical books referenced at the end of each theoretical topic. Among the listings of recommended readings is a book titled simply as Hitchcock . The book is essentially a compiled set of transcripts of a conversation Hitchcock had with Francois Truffaut on the art, craft, and distinct style of Hitchcocks directorial work.

Giobbi manages to cite this particular book more than once throughout the theoretical sections, urging the immediacy of applicability and relevance to the branch of magic.

It has come to my attention that the original audio tape conversations, of which the book was based, has been preserved and posted online free for listening. The link to the talks, along with an online film archive of several of Hitchcocks earlier works can be found here and here .

Finally, in a post from Bill Mullins back in March of this year, a link was provided that listed 10 of Ricky Jay's own personal favorite movies re-released by Critierion. The first movie listed was The 39 Steps by none other than Alfred Hitchcock. For those of you not familiar with the film should definitely check it out.
