Auction Hunters unit with a zig zag

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

the zig zag sold for $2500
nothing said on who could of built it.
the TIVO blurb said it was 1974, not
sure if that is correct either.

also there was no 1910 Chung Ling Soo poster
as TIVO blurb said.

the only other thing was an old suitcase
with simple effects. reminded me of my
fisher price magic set my p's bought me
when I was 7.

1974 would have been one of the first rips off from Harbin as he published the book in 1970.

It didn't say and it's not for sure a 1974. That is what TIVO said . I don't know the amazing Larry is either. It looks like a repro not a Harbin. It could be Jim sommers for all we know. Its the basic girl design that everyone associates Harbin with.

Larry said people have gotten hurt in this illusion...

That how l found out i have purple blood

Amazing Larry is Larry Wilson the comedy magician.

The Chung Ling Soo poster was not used in the show.

Yes ma'am I stayed up to watch the whole show.

Larry played it serious and did the illusion for them using a Las Vegas dancer.

Nothing was exposed that I could see.

I saw a commercial on the History Channel for "American Pickers" and it appears that a "magic box" of some kind will be seen on the show this comming Monday.

I wonder who's supplying such props "to be found" for these reality auction shows? (ala "Pawn Stars" & Murray).
