Hi! When I was learning from RRTCM there was a structure for me to follow, that is to practice sleights and perform at least two tricks from each chapter well. Now, a lot more resources are available to me which are not as structured as RRTCM. My question is, how many sleights or effects should I learn at a time? Is it ok to learn from one book while learning from others or will this slow down my progress? I am reading Erdnase at the moment but the tricks in the book are in the last few pages and it looks like I wont be performing them anytime soon.
Thanks!

How about just working on a couple of simple effects you can explore presenting (that includes script, blocking, audience dynamics) and in doing that work find the places where sleights are needed and then learn the sleights that fit into your routines?
