My trip to Houdini's house

Postby JohnCox » January 17th, 2011, 10:50 am

Join me as I plunge into Harlem in search of the home of HOUDINI (and watch as I lamely try to get inside). Lots of pics, video, and a map. I do these things so you don't have to. Enjoy!

John,

I don't know if you've ever had a chance to talk with Dixie Dooley, but he was in the house about 30 years ago. He has photos and believe it or not, there was still some of Houdini's personal items in the basement. I think a trunk, some photos and printing plates. The bathroom tiles had either HH or H&B on them.

Oh, man, I'd KILL to see those photos (okay, maybe not kill, but I may mame).

I've heard various version of how the titles were inscribed. Think I went with Silverman's description.
