The Jack the Ripper seance book... Paul Voodini.

Postby Dale Shrimpton » June 4th, 2010, 7:38 am

The Jack the Ripper sance.

Paul Voodini.

Before I write anything else, I feel that I should offer a word of Caution.
If you are looking for magic tricks, or pieces of business to slip into your existing magic act, the work that I am about to review is absolutly not for you.
For the book The Jack the Ripper sance, is not a magic book, nor is the show a magic show.
To the sitters, this event is as it seems. A 100% totally un gimmicked sance, which deals with some dark themes, and whilst being highly entertaining, It can deeply affect people on an emotional and spiritual level.

Paul has released the full transcript and working instructions of his ripper sance to the world. The information contained within the 45 pages, is worth its weight in gold.

Fully scripted, this incredible work contains absolutly everything you could possibly ever need to know in the art of running a gimmick free sance.
Induction techniques, glass moving, table tipping, pendulum work, and the dark sance are meticulously covered, as well as suggestions on props, dressing, creating the right environment, what can go wrong, and what to do in the event of the real thing happening .
(And on the two times i have attended, this may of been the case!)
Plus anecdotes from past sances, that will make you laugh, and wonder...
I know.. Several of those anecdotes involve me!

The price for this Information? Around 20 pounds..

I personally wouldnt let it go for less than two hundred quid, because frankly this is way too good to sell cheap.

Seriously.. Seldom does this kind of material, of this quality become available to the community.

Whatever the cost buy it!

But remember my warning at the top of this review, and use this information responsibly.

Because when it works, it is NOT magic.

Its as real as you can possibly get.

( because it is real.)

Paul, what happens if you change the name from "jack the ripper" to ... well whoever happens to be departed?

Paul?
:)

Well,in this case it wouldn't work, since this particular routine is Ripper based.Paul does point out that you Dont have to be in white chapel in order to hold a ripper seance, since if it were to exist, the spirit world is everywhere.

but the methods given could be adapted for any themes.

Thanks for the review Dale. Glad you enjoyed the book.

And I must point out that I am Paul, not Dale. And Dale is Dale, not Paul. Or something. Now I'm confused.

Is this book available, printed, from a U.S. source?

I bought the downloadable e-book from Lybrary.com and then printed and bound it myself as I do with any e-book worth reading. It's easy, economical and gives me a printed copy.

You can print anything that is on your computer. Just press PRINT.

However, unless you have a laser printer, it can get very expensive very quickly to print via inkjet.

Let me be more precise. I didn't realize that ebooks were downloaded, rather than just viewed. There are other "electronic" books where you can view, but not print.

I would love to see these unprintable electronic books you mention, do you have a link to one?

Thanks

No I can't link to it, if I could, I could print it :) It's a textbook made available to me via an application called MyScribe.

At least I think it's unprintable. Myscribe is such an execrable application to use, I could just be missing it.

I bought Paul's 'Hypno-Mental Self-Working Card Tricks' almost on a whim (how could you resist a title like that?!?!), and thought it was excellent. The 'self-working' wasn't the best part, it was the 'hypno-mental': very, very cool effects. I expect that this one is great too: how could you resist THIS title?

Thanks for the kind words Marc. Glad you enjoyed 'Hypno-Mental Self-Working Card Tricks'. I really enjoyed writing that little book and it's always nice to hear that people have enjoyed reading it too.

All of my books are available from Lybrary, but I do have my own modest little website. However I tend to print off and post the books sold from my website, so not as economical as a quick visit to Lybrary for my American friends (I'm based in the UK).

My latest booklet is 'The Magicians' Guide to Palm Reading' - available as a download from Lybrary and from my own site. Combining palm reading and close-up is a speciaility of mine and hopefully this offering explains just how to read palms and, more importantly almost, why it makes close-up so much more powerful.
