Jeez, that's a hoity-toity group. I recognize everyone at first glance except the tall guy third from the left and the person on the far right.

It's like deja vu, all over again.

A quaote from Pete Biro, "Allerton, Hugard, Braun, Lorraine, Gibson, Bamberg, Gwynn, Buckley, Tarbell and the last guy?"

I posted this on Genii a few years back and we came up with Walter Graham but Bill Palmer pointed out to me that Graham wasnt old enough.

Someone even came up with the hotel too.

Maybe a guy named Merle E. Faber. He was a winner of a contest at the IBM - SAM convention that year.

I thought the last man on the right was either
Edgar Bergen or julius Sundman...

That is comparing the photo to the poster I have.

In Genii, vol. 11, no. 11, July 1947, page 347, there is a picture with the same lustre but with more magicians.

Sorry...the infamous "guy on the right" is definitely *not* Edgar Bergen. Bergen was much shorter (more Sid Lorraine's height) and at that period would never have been seen in public - much less allowed himself to be photographed - without his hairpiece.

He does look familiar, though.....

The guy on the far right is Dave Coleman.

The cigar goes to David Ben: it's Coleman, all right.

Here he is with the Mrs. in a Life magazine article from 1946 (Mr. and Mrs. Hen Fetsch are also featured):

Very cool. Coleman looks just like the guy on the right and I liked seeing the pics of Hen Fetsch too.

The award goes to David Ben alright. Ill be sending his prize to him soon. Actually its the prototype 1939 Sefalaljia set that I was going to send anyway.

Interesting to see that Coleman's unnamed "assistant" in the Life pictures was Milbourne Christopher.
