Bricks & Mortar stores in Boston, MA

Postby Darren Lawbuary » January 27th, 2010, 2:44 pm

Brethren,

I am visiting Boston for a few days in April, and wonder if there are any stores the area in which I may top up with Tally-ho's, books and flash paper, please?
In anticipation, many thanks.

Peace.

Darren

Darren:

The two that i know of are The Magic Art Studio in Watertown - a short trolley ride from downtown Boston. It is worthwhile visiting with Ray Goulet, the owner and it willl not take much to convince him to show you his magic museum/collection. The only problem is that you might die from envy when you see all that he has. Hank Lee has taken his operation to Medford, Massachusetts, an outlying suburb if Boston. You will need a car to get there.

Definitely go to see Ray Goulet's mini-museum. It's astounding.

Marty,

Good to hear from you, my friend, and many thanks for taking the time to reply. As I am only in Boston for near on 48 hours, The Magic Art Studio in Watertown is must be.

Richard, thank you for the additional input - I always value your advice.

Peace and love to you all.

Darren

Sadly, and just my luck, Ray's shop will be closed the day I am there, due to a convention in Cape Cod.
Excuse my ignorance, but are Tally's available in supermarkets at all in the States? I would hate to visit and not come away with any!
Many thanks.

Tally-Ho's are typically not found in Supermarkets where I live.

Just as an FYI when traveling anywhere, try this resource to find Brick and Mortar shop:

Ray Goulet's shop is great, Diamonds Magic is worth a visit as well. It's a 15 to 20 minute drive north of the city, Eddie Gardner is a very nice guy. He had plenty of Tally Ho's in stock on my last visit. If going on a Saturday call ahead to make sure he's open.
