Fred Kaps Currency
Re: Fred Kaps Currency
This is not a clip of the $11 bill trick by Kaps.
It is more reminiscent of Hornswaggled.

Re: Fred Kaps Currency
Michael Dustman is correct that is not the 11 bill trick it is Hornswoggled. I don't believe that Fred included the clip in his 11 bill trick at all. Pete Biro would know for sure if he did or not.

Re: Fred Kaps Currency
The clip shown is Fred Kaps performing HORNSWOGGLED for Bro. John Hammon. It was filmed at a prvate session and also included Kaps' Cups and Balls and Gypsy Curse Routines. Kaps at his very best!
Re: Fred Kaps Currency
Kaps' Currency is the variant he devised of the Edward Victor 11 card trick, but done with bills and two spectators. Fred also hs a vriation on Pat Pagae's Easy Money, which is the best of its type IMHO. The routine with Bro. Hamman is his version of Hornswoggled.
Stay tooned.
Re: Fred Kaps Currency
The clip is not included in Fred Kaps' Currency, the version of Victor's 11 Card Trick which I published; nor is Hornswoggled.

Re: Fred Kaps Currency
I've been reorganizing my library and I came across some actual Fred Kaps money -- U.S. dollar size bills with Fred's picture. Anybody know anything about these?

That clip shows Kaps on the Michael Parkinson show, doing his famous 11 Bill Trick. The monograph he wrote explaining it is still available from H & R:

though it is my understanding that once these are gone, we will not be able to get more.
Great trick, and a favorite of Peter Studebaker, Mike Caveney and Steve Bargatze.
Joerg Alexander's bill tricks, inspired by Kaps' Currency, may be found in his terrific 2002 SAM Lecture notes:
