Genii cited In CIA History

Postby Bob Farmer » August 16th, 2009, 6:25 pm

In the book on the CIA's secret technology, SPYCRAFT by Robert Wallace and Keith Melton, Genii is cited on pages, 375, 376, and 512. Magic and the principles of magic pop up several times (including a reference on page 395 to the CIA hiring an illusion builder to create a secret escape route).

I can't say more for reasons of national security.

Thanks for the recommendation!

I just downloaded this to my Kindle and I am looking forward to reading it this week.

Bob, apparently the Kindle version is exactly that -- it burns after reading.

Image

by far my favourite image from the story. I recall seeing this "effect" on display in the checkpoint charlie museum in berlin as a child.
