Hi All,
Does anyone know of a version of Burling Hull's Chalk and wipe-off liquid that can be purchased today? I was rereading my Chemical Magic book and really like the idea of being able to wipe a slate clean and then have wording appear on it while in the hands of a volunteer.
Any help would be great,
Thanks Umpa

Re: Burling Hull chalk & wash off liquid
Hull was almost certainly marketing an old medium's stunt.
Docc Hilford put this out as a commercial product a few years ago complete with slates and the special something that makes it work consistently. It's quite spooky to watch the writing appear on the slate without any covering after it's been "washed."
I think it's still available.

For some reason, I think this might be explained in Hull's Encyclopedia of Mentalism. It somehow sticks in my mind.

Thanks to both of you. I do not have a copy of Hull's Encyclopedia, but I sent a message to Mr. Hilford and hope that he can help me with this.
I really appreciate the help,
