List of Magicana Tricks On Youtube

Postby David Acer » August 28th, 2009, 9:34 pm

As a modest start to what I hope will become a more comprehensive list, here are some tricks from Magicana that have been posted on youtube. Feel free to add any others you know of, or record yourself performing a trick, sleight, or routine you learned from Magicana, post it on youtube, then tell us about it here. I'll update the list regularly.

Also, I'd like to point out that, if you're interested in something you see on youtube from the list below, back issues are available for the price of a single-trick download by clicking the link at the top of this page.

What a great resource! Thanks for taking the time to put that together. I feel even more justified in keeping those stacks of old issues.

I created a page on MagicPedia, in case it's easier for you to manage there (instead of having to continually replicate each post here : http://geniimagazine.com/wiki/index.php ... On_Youtube

I also started adding them directly to the each issue. For Example: http://geniimagazine.com/wiki/index.php ... _September

Hi Joe,

For some reason I can't upload info onto Magicpedia anymore - the pages just go blank when I try (it also happens when I click on certain links). Not sure if anyone else is having this problem. That said, I'll keep updating the list here every once in awhile, but if you want to post the info on Magicpedia as well, I think that's great (and I love the idea of adding the links directly to their respective issues).

I've been having issues with MagicPedia too. WebMaster Brad is going to look into it as soon as he has some free time. Even though you get a blank page, sometimes the edit still works. You just have to go back and reload the page to see.

I hope more people post their routines! I'll keep my eye on this thread and try to make the updates to the specific issues when I seen them.

I'll update the list regularly.

Also, I'd like to point out that, if you're interested in something you see on youtube from the list below, back issues are available for the price of a single-trick download by clicking the link at the top of this page.

David:

Your posts providing these links have been most interesting. Thanks!

I do have a suggestion: Since you decided to redo the list each time you added a performance, and since it's a minor chore to find the added performances amongst each new list, would it be possible for you to highlight the text of each new entry with a different color, such as red?

Gladly, although I have no idea how to do that. I tried pressing 9, joining Facebook, eating a Hershey Bar. Nothing worked.

You can change the color to red like [color:red]this:

Code: Select all

[color:red]this

Hersey bars are optional, though recommended. Especially if they are sent to me.

Genii, November, 1992 Jean-Pierre Vallarino's Rumba Count (featured in Gary Ouellet's Fulminations column), a false count that allows you to show the faces of all the cards in a small packet as being identical, when in fact they are all different (shown and cued here during a performance of Darwin Ortiz's "Jumping Gemini"):

Genii, August, 1992 Popeye (featured in Gary Ouellet's Fulminations column), performed here on a Penn & Teller special. An impromptu dinner-table gag in which you apparently jam a fork into your eye, causing it to explode in a spray of white goo:
