The New Doug Henning Book

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

oops, forgot to include website.
But yeah, don't know how I got on the email list,
but it was a complete surprise because I had not
heard anything about this at all.

I just emailed the author in hopes that he might
have resources for some of the answer to questions
I have been in search of the last couple of years.

He put together a complete illusionography in the book.

It's a terrific site. There's a lot of good stuff shared on it; the illusionography of his shows being just one. I love the last paragraph of the author's bio. He sounds like my kind of guy!

Dennis Loomis has a thorough review, and we have an excerpt from the book in the August M-U-M.

Though not an H & R publication, the book will be officially released at the H & R Magic Books booth at Magic Live, and the author, John Harrison, will be signing copies there. As the launch date approaches, we'll put the book on our website for those wishing to reserve signed copies in advance.

I just received an email from the author with some
interesting information that I'm pleasantly surprised
and excited about. although the material might be lost...
I will do some digging for and hopefully find something
or lead towards something in finding it.

I'm glad that people are looking forward to the book and like the website. I got word that the books were shipped to the distributor on Friday, so dealers should have them soon. Like Richard mentioned the "official" release will take place at the H&R Magic booth at Magic Live. I look forward to meeting other Doug Henning fans there.

For those whove been waiting, this book is supposed to be available for Kindle some time this month.
