Re: Max Maven’s Monthly Inquisition
Is it OK for me to say I won't? Don't misunderstand: I think Max is a bona fide genius, but the Inquisition was ...meh, IMO.

I always learned something new and got a chuckle with the last answer.

I liked it. Talk about leading you down the garden path when reading it because I would forget sometimes the last answer would be different from the rest. It also had alot of good tidbits and facts which I liked most about it.

Re: Max Maven’s Monthly Inquisition
I concur.
I too will miss the Inquisition. (And "no one ever expects the Maven Inquisition").
The more I read/watch/study Max Maven and his work, the more I realize that 'he's got it goin' on'.
Mille grazie, e viva La Max!

I won't miss it.
I'm a fan of Maven's work, but not a fan of this particular venture.

After doing 60 of them Max felt he had done enough.

It was the first thing I turned to every month.
A collection of them would make a fun book. They could be sold in sets of two. One to keep and one to give to a (magician)friend.

Nothing in the magazine is designed to appeal to all readers. If you only print material designed to appeal to everyone, you get homogenized crap.

I always liked the Inquisition. It showed there is more to be read about in magic then just how to do the next trick.

Re: Max Maven's Monthly Inquisition
I, for one, will miss Inquisition very much. It made me think about magic history, it made me appreciate the broad "culture" of magic, it made me laugh, and it furthered my belief that Max Maven is one clever son-of-a-bitch.

It was always a delight to read Inquisition -- I'm sorry to see it gone.
