I was pleasantly surprised to find Juan at my door when I came home from a great dinner at Sam & Harry's in Tysons Corner last night.

I am looking forward to spending some time with him. :)

I came home today to find the September Genii on my doorstep with teeth marks in it. Moreover, the neighbourhood stray in question had also munched thoroughly on a Sears catalog, which only serves to prove the adage - you cant eat just Juan.

Martin Lewis arrived today. I'll have to wait another month for Tamariz, I guess. (I'm not complaining here, I choose for surface mail when I subscribed ;-)).

Peter, I'm actually very pleased to hear that you received the September issue in the month of September by surface mail!
That's not too shabby!

Quite true, Richard. The August issue just arrived about a week ago. Once it happened I recieved two issues on the same day.
Since I first subscribed in 1999 all the issues arrived in perfect shape.

Ah, yes, yes, he arrived last week.

I told my friend "It is a beautiful cover, drawn by James Hodges."

He quickly asked if Juan had any clothes on.

Got mine yesterday. My wife wanted to know why there was a picture of Che Guevara on the cover of Genii.

The Juan Tamariz issue arrived yesterday. I took it out of the package without checking the mailing label, however. There's a chance that I received Roger Klause's copy.

My copy arrived today -- September 17 -- in Washington, DC. The cover is wonderful...though I can see how it brings Che to mind for some and Woody Allen for others. How fitting!

Mine arrived here on the shores of the Chesapeake today, 9/17. Just what I needed after 3 days of Card Clinic with Giobbi and Jamy! My wife thought it was Woody Allen on the cover.

Juan arrived in San Jose California yesterday 09/19 in good shape , and yes it looks like Woody Allen on the cover with a slight resemblance to Weird Al Yankovich.
The effect is the important thing, how you achieve is not !!

Juan Tamariz arrived Friday (Sept. 20) in Lombard, IL (a suburb of Chicago). The plastic bag it was mailed in had a big hole in it, but the magazine inside was in great shape... unlike poor Martin Lewis, who had a big scratch on his cover.

My copy arrived in excellent condition today. I enjoyed Eric Mead's review of the Tony Marks book. I didn't think I watned it til now! Since Mead is such a "worker", it'd be interesting if he could find a way to work in his experience performing into the actual book reviews. Don't ask me how. Just something to think about. Perhaps he tried out some of the routines, or whatever.
As I wrote elsewhere, I loved Maven's article. (I also enjoyed Acer's original piece!)
