Good review. I think it's funny how even he couldn't get the ring. I've done ring flight with a Super Bowl ring and didn't have that much of a problem getting it. The last time I saw David he did the Lottery prediction, but did not produce the car at the end. I think that can't be done in every house he plays. I may just have to see him when I'm in Vegas in a few months.

DC's show seems to be a hit & miss affair depending where you are seated.

All you need to know about the person writing the internet "review" that Craig links to is this quote: "In Copperfield's defense, his show was very entertaining, and face-paced enough to keep me off my iPhone for an hour and a half."

Fast-paced enough to keep him off his stupid piece of [censored] iphone for 90 minutes? There's an audience member I don't give a crap about.

Richard's point is well-taken--the review is very snarky, and I don't agree with it.

Nevertheless, Craig is correct: the review is an example of the "hazards" of sitting real close to the stage during some grand illusion shows.

I recall sitting very close to an early 1990's performance of an act that I greatly respect and had been fooled by repeatedly in the past. Unfortunately, the angles of the venue gave me (and my lay guests) quite an "education" that I really didn't want.

These days, I simply choose my seats more wisely so I can enjoy the show!

It's very hard to light for all seats in every venue. I'm certain David doesn't want anyone to see anything: he's very anal about that kind of stuff and with good reason. But, it's hard to hit it perfectly every time.

I've often wondered about dove workers--don't they think people who are sitting close can see those loops in front of their clothing? Talking to some of the real pros I discovered that their loops aren't sticking out in the air for everyone to see. That was educational.

A quick look at a few other pages of her blog suggests (to me at least) that she not only likes Copperfield but magic as well. IMHO her blog post stated she regretted being so close to the show that the magic was lost for her while some of the methods were happening as she watched.
