yes, very good if you get BBC - or are set up with friends who will get it for you sometime later and bring it over.

I'm in the same boat, but that was for my readers who are not only from the US.

it's okay, at least one friend seems to call me a day after something airs across the way and then stop by with a show to watch - i don't ask them how.

My wife just asked me if there is some sort of symbology in the logo for Jonathan Creek. Is there?

While I've enjoyed all the Jonathan Creeks, to my mind the best and most entertaining were the earlier episodes with Caroline Quentin as Maddy Magellan and Stuart Milligan as Adam Klaus.
Don Ward, co-founder of London's Comedy Store made a list of his favourite heclkles. This one applies to Alan Davies:

During a charity gig, where Davies was fiddling with the material of the curtain at the back of the stage, doing no stand up at all - the audience were getting restless and one shouted: "Tell us a joke Alan." He shook his head and as he still had the curtain in his hand someone else shouted: "Wrong material Alan." He then proceeded to storm off the stage and has never been back since.

I didn't enjoy them all. It began its slide into nowhere after Quentin left. One or two decent bits following her departure, but that's all.
The final series, or was it two, where he was married were very poor.

Leo, I agree the later series weren't as good. For a variety of reasons. But I'd still rather re-watch one of them than 90% of what is on TV now!
I just re-watched House of Monkeys from series 1. Wonderful. With a 'locked room' solution I think originally conceived by Karl Fulves?
