Someone was selling them a while back and Dominique Duvivier bought the entire stock. So, I don't think you'll find them for sale anywhere.

While I'm aware that these are coveted by some (and are useful in some gaffed effects), does anyone share my view that the nugget cards sport one of the ugliest back designs ever produced?

I agree they're quite ugly. Last year I bought a red deck and a blue deck on ebay and to this day I don't know why. I've never opened either and in my opinion bikes are much nicer to look at.

I still have about two cases left from when Jerry's Nugget was still selling them. I'm going to hang on to these, as I like the look and they last a longtime.

They also make a nice addition to Bannon's Strangers Gallery. :genii:

Chris -LOL. They are UGLY! And look cheap and not like "normal" laymen cards in my oppinion. I would never use these!

I think folks are asking about those cards because the Bucks like 'em and folks are leaping like gazelles onto that wagon.

Leaping? I think not. Only one guy wanted them. Most of the other posts were saying they are ugly and not useful. Yuk!

I still have a mixed case (half red/half blue) of Nuggets in my office... got them in the early 80's at a Castle swapmeet and used to love them for the long life (it was the Earl Nelson influence)... haven't opened a pack in years but have a few used packs lying around somewhere...

My cards of preference in the 80's and early 90's were the old Arco Tahoe's... loved the feel of those cards and they lasted forever... when they would warp from use you'd simply put them in a fridge for a couple of days and they'd go flat again...

I still have 3 complete unopened cases of Tahoe's, 2 blue, 1 red, plus about 10 Tahoe mixed gaff packs (and about a dozen loose decks also)... I bought the last 3 cases Tannen's had plus all the gaff packs when US Playing Card bought out Arco and decided to stop making Tahoe's, this was in the late 80's... opened one of the sealed loose packs the other day (sealed with foil) and they were still as fresh, pliable and wonderful (and slippery) as they were back when I was using Tahoe's all the time...

I've been offered as much as $50 for a pack of Tahoe's by collectors but have never sold any from my stash...

Hmmmm... wonder how'd they do on ebay?

Why not have one of those Kard places make you a gross of those with the colors you like. They don't have to be an exact match do they?

And who cares if they last a long time. If you're buying a bunch you'll have a lifetime supply with your name on them.

Particular card back designs are a personal choice for sure... but when you are performing I really don't think speckies give a hoot... to them cards are cards...

I hate to tell you how many times I have worked with beat up, incomplete decks of bridge size cards someone pulled out of a kitchen drawer so I could do some magic for them

These are the kinds of cards you need to have the ability to work with on may occasions.

I hate bridge-sized cards.
I'm very glad, however, that I decided not to use them when I first started. I remember buying a pack of each wondering if my hands were big enough for the poker size. Actually I think they were packs of Hoyle's as well.

I think Jerry Andrus uses Bridge size cards.

I've also got a bunch of unopened Arrco Tahoe and Casino Clubs stashed away. But Mr. Kaufman probably has the mother lode -- when I was taking lessons from him in New York City he had shelves of his bookcase crammed with Arrcos. The gaffs in "Gaffed to the Hilt" were all Arrco.

Sigh . . .

I bought my Jerry's Nugget cards from Randy Wakeman, who used to retail them. Don't know if he stil does.

No. Just blue or red backs with red blocks in the "tower," or whatever that thing in the middle is supposed to be.

To check, I had to wade through my Aristocrats, Moguls, "Top Dog/Underdog," Aladdins and about 100 other decks.

Maybe my wife is right and I'm nuts.

I just got some of these cards from Magician's Gallery (magiciansgallery.com). I have always had great experiences with this company and was thrilled to be able to get a couple of decks for my collection.
Anyone else who is looking for these might want to give them a call.
