LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Hi: I emailed the following to all on my email-address list; thought you might be interested.
Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2.
One of the many unsolicited testimonials re: this book: "I received the book the other day. I LOVE IT!!!!
"It is perhaps the finest card book that I have ever purchased. Dollar for dollar the material is unbelievable.
"I cannot imagine anyone being unhappy with this book." Sam Lamerson.
*****************************************************
All right; in answer to the many requests I've received (and only to my email friends (I'm not doing a
"snail mail" mailing): ***
Yes, okay, if you want to purchase THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2 directly from me (because you want it autographed to you personally, or for whatever reason) - I'LL MEET ANY DEALER'S PRICE - at least, for the time being.
So, tell me the dealer, and the price, and we'll go from there.
DO IT - purchase THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2 directly from me - before I change my mind!
Sincerely - HARRY LORAYNE.
*** For U.S.A. clients only - because of the outrageous airmail postage out of the U.S.A. But check
with me anyway, if you like.

LOL
Rule #1 of Comedy, a moan is a good as a laugh.
Get Harry's book! How's that for a promo?

I have my own comedy rule - If it ain't funny, it ain't comedy!
Now, tell me the dealer, the price, nd I'll meet that price.

Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Rick: Don't understand your post. Are you asking if I'll meet that price? The answer is YES. So,email your order to me via PayPal - to harrylorayne@earthlink.net. Best - HARRY L. (Easier to reach me at the aforementioned email address with any questions.)
Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Well the link was to a guy on ebay who was selling it at that price, so wanted you to be aware of it, and I figured you'd meet that price, you're a man of your word.
Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Gotcha, Rick. Thanks. Anyone who cares - I WILL BEAT CIRCLE MAGIC'S PRICE ON MY BOOK! Plus, you'll get my autograph (whatever the h**l that's worth to you!). I am just so damn tired of people underselling my work. Remember, I'll beat (no, not by that much, but I'll beat it - just want to give you an incentive to order the book directly from me). HL

That's worth at least $79.95 by itsself. LOL!!!
Oh BTW, you said on one of your memory tapes that you never met anyone who said, I know your name, but I cant remember your face. Harry Anderson said that to me back in August at SEAM. Seems in the 'good ole days' he remembered me from the Limelight (and broadcasting days), but not my face. So now you have one.
Of course we all know about HA and his memory ;)
And to everyone, get this book AND the autograph. Worth it's weight in gold.
I think for a fee, Harry would even come to your house and teach you. (Maybe a lecture tour Harry? I'd love to get you down to Ring 194/330 someday).
Rick
Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
That's not my exact quote, Rick, but no need for me to go all the way into it. Oh well - MOST PEOPLE ARE VIDEO MINDED AS COMPARED TO AUDIO MINDED AND REMEMBER WHAT THEY SEE MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT THEY HEAR. THAT'S WHY MOST PEOPLE REMEMBER/RECOGNIZE FACES MORE THAN THEY DO NAMES. AND THAT'S WHY MY SYSTEMS FOR REMEMBERING NAMES IS BASED ON MAKING ANY NAME VISUAL, "PICTURABLE" IN THE MIND. Note the word "most." According to my research (from decades ago) it's about 95% of the population.
No, Rick, I have people come to MY house, but you don't want to know my fee. Which is why you're better off with my books! Best - HARRY L,

Mr L
Received my book this week although I reluctantly had to hand over the unopened package to my wife - she'd said she'd buy me the book for Christmas and, as a result, I'm not allowed to even have a peak until December 25. How cruel is that?
In the meantime, when are you planning to send out the e-book version of Close Up Card Magic?
Regards
Andrew

Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Andrew: I send that link out the day the order for my book is received. If you ordered the book from me and asked for the free download and didn't get it, something is wrong. (I tried to check from your initials - are you from the UK?) Anyway, if you didn't get it, email to my personal email address (harrylorayne@earthlink.net), tell me who you are (no initials), etc. And I'll email the link to you IMMEDIATELY. HL

Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Harry has already done quite a bit of the material from his books on the series of DVDs he did for L&L. I think there were originally eight to ten VHS tapes and now there are six DVDS? Is that right. It's a lot of stuff and much of it is from his books.

My "Best Ever" 4-volume DVD set has over 135 effects, sleights, ideas, concepts. How much can bagels, etc., like DVDs if he doesn't know about them? Yeah, bagels, stay away from my books. HL.

I have all of the L&L DVD's. I like to read novels. Magic books don't explain things very well. Ever read the Jennings book by Maxwell? POOR writing at best.

Yes, Maxwell's writing in Jennings' Classic Magic is poor. Have you tried Jennings '67? I think you'll find a difference in the quality of the descriptions.

I'm curious, what does Mike Maxwell do now? Does he still write magic books?

Jennings '67 is an example of how to write a magic instruction book.

Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Mike Maxwell hasn't written a magic book in many years. His company, A-1, used to make videos. I don't think he's in business anymore.

And what in the world has Maxwell's writing (or anyone else's) have to do with my writing?

Well, to add to the side-track - A-1 still has a website that seems to be current at: www.a1magicalmedia.com. Mike Maxwell has the President's message at the home page.
I've never ordered anything from the site so I can't claim any knowledge of the business besides it being in my bookmarks.

Well here's another one undercutting you.

looks like $68.50 with shipping.. Guess this 'dealer' bought two from you.

No, Rick. I don't sell to people like that. HL. And, I'll still meet an dealer's price (if proven) - just to stop this kind of thing.

Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
This dose not have anything to do with Classic Collection Two(which I hope to pick up soon when our dollar goes back up), but I just checked out Amazon and some one is selling Close-up Card Magic (soft cover) for over $400.00 Wow! I wonder how much my hard cover is worth (not that I would sell.) Harry how much postage do you charge to Canada?

Close-Up Card Magic was never published in softcover. So, I don't know what the seller is selling.

Richard is right - there is no softback of C-UCM. HL

Oops, I was wrong!!! Was half asleep last night. McGraw-Hill Publishers DID do a softback version of my book, THE MAGIC BOOK, many years ago. HL

I thin I saw it in Amazon has a paperback. Didn't says softback. :::SIGH::: oh well
Re: LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, VOL. 2
Sorry for the confusion, folks. My books are starting to "blend" in my mind. I was confusing Close-Up Card Magic with The Magic Book. Sorry. Let's get it straight. There is/was no softback (or paperback; same thing in this context) of Close-Up Card Magic. There was a softback of The Magic Book. HL.

Maybe Richard was thinking of Fulves Self working Close Up Card Magic. That's a paperback.
