DISAPPEARING FINES

A magician is being brought in by the Mayor OF Boston to make library fines, "magically disappear" for over 50,000 children who have overdue books from Boston's Public Library. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino says he hopes the waiver will encourage kids to use the library.

... or encourage them to just take books out and never return them.

I don't think Detective Bookman would be very impressed with Mayor Menino's policy on library fines.
